    Gauge Light Question

Well I think I have my electrical issures figured out...except one!

The tach and speedo lights are not working. What could be the problem? I am geting power to the gray and black/white wires at the harness connector.

    I am working on a 79' GS850 G.

    Thanks!

The black/white is a ground, you shouldn't be getting power there.

      right.

I mean with the Volt meter .... the (-) on black/white and (+) on the gray and it reads 12V.

Could it be a faulty ignition switch? I see the gray wire goes into the switch.

I checked all the bulbs and they are good.

Well anyone had this problem before?

The only lights that dont work are the gauge face lights..

Got it figured out! The gray wires came apart inside the wire loom going to the gauges. One waterproof buttsplice..problem solved!
