Can I actually do this?

I'm looking at an 85 GS700 engine I just picked up, it came with the entire ignition pickup system, some bits of wire harness, and two CDI boxes. I'm wondering, can I swap the entire electronic system off this one into a 78 750?

Obviously I know I'd need the CDI and wiring associated with it, and probbly to splice a bit, but if it'd work and be a completely zero maintenance system, I'd be all for this.

so GS wisemen(and women) is it doable?

Upon looking, I've discovered I have amongst the bits of wiring, the pieces from the CDI to the coils, as well as pickup, which means making this work is likely even simpler than I'd previously thought it to be.

from the looks of it, it'd be a simple swap in, set up the timing right, and provide power to the CDI.
