It's normal until you hit the rpm where it kicks in. You should be running 1100RPM at idle anyway, and will notice it kick in when you increase several hundred RPM. If it really bothers you, feed the battery directly with the compufire, and do a headlight relay mod. -

It is fed directly to the batter and direct from the stator.
I will just maintain a proper idle setting and carry on.
Not pushing a bike may actually be fun.
When you think about it 175 bucks is pretty darned cheap.Comment
