Dynatek installation guide: wire connection to coil

    Hi,

I've received my Z1 enterprises order containing the 3.0 Ohms green coils, together with
the red and the yellow wires (I couldn't decide what colour...).

The instruction says: cut the wire and then something with clipover wire and something with a jacket and boot...

My English is not good enough apparently to understand this 'pictorial wise'...can someone please explain or show me how the wires need to be 'prepared' and installed in the Dynatek coils ?

    Second question:

the red ones are normal copper wires, the yellow ones 'suppression core' wires...
can I use these mixed, like the red wires for cylinder 1-4 and the yellow for 2 and 3 ?

You need to use the suppression core wires with those coils.

Copper core wires need to use resistor spark plug caps like the OE ones, or NGK. Suppression core wire has a built in resistor so you need to use non-resistor spark plug caps, like the ones on the Dyna spark plug wires - with the rubber boot over the plug clip.

          but the answer is then:

yes, you can use these different wires (suppression and non-suppression) mixed, as long as you keep the above guidelines regarding the plug cap ?

Does somebody have a similar link or explanation of how you would 'prepare' a suppression core wire ?
bend over the black core to the insulation jacket so that it has contact to the metal clip ? or does the white hairy stuff needs to be exposed first ?

Strip it so the black core is completely exposed, bend it over so it is crimped between the outer jacket and the provided crimp end. Use the proper crimp tool if you have one, but you can do it with needle nose pliers if you are careful, but make sure it fits the coil properly if you do.

I can't think of any reason this wouldn't work.

I am currently doing this on my GS.
