Yet another turn signal question

Can`t really say when this started but here is my dilema. To make a long story short my right turn signal works fine. The left signal when activated blinks fast. Should I start by checking all wiring or should I be thinking about a new turn signal relay. Thanks ahead of time.

You should check for a shorted bulb or shorted wiring on the left side. is there a bulb that isn't lighting up? start with that turn signal and associated components.

Thans rustyb. I won`t be able to get to it `till Saturday. Now that I think about it I replaced all my bulbs in April. Left side rear broke off in the connector and was a bear to get out. Wondering if I mucked something up?
