Lights failure emergency

My MOT is Friday and my flashers don't work :-(
I changed my indicators for a bulb (not led) replacement a short while ago but now they're really messed up.

The rear ones just won't light period and only the front left one works. And by works I mean comes on static. And it only works if it's the only one connected.

If both front ones are connected and the switch is pushed either left or right there is a single relay click but no light.

If I disconnect a light and push the switch in it's direction (still only front) the dash light comes on static with no relay click.

Also headlight suddenly not working?!?


PLEASE HELP! I don't really have time now to pull it all to bits looking for a fault. It's got it's MOT in 5 days! Any ideas guys n gals?

So wait, they are, or are not LED?

First things first: Check your fuses.

They're Not LED they are Bulbs

Ok, check your fuses, then check the bulbs themselves to make sure that they're seated properly. The system relies on a current draw to work properly and if there isn't enough current being pulled through the flasher, they'll just stay static.

Fuses are solid and bulbs all seated I just tested them individually on a battery. Is there a polarity to observe with the bulbs themselves? I thought it made no difference. Thanks for the input I'm at my wits end.

They should be single filament, so no. Do you have a multimeter by any chance? I'd test to make sure you're getting voltage to the bulb sockets next.

I'm getting a voltage as long as it's the only bulb plugged in. If I add another lamp even if it's not on the side that's turned on I lose the voltage instantly

Are you trying this with the bike running or not?

I ask, because I was spazzin out about mine being very dim until I fired the bike up.

I'm confused by it really it's so wierd. Normally I'd just tear it down to find the fault but clocks ticking lol

Another guy/gal at wit's end- must be getting crowded! The ground wires to the rear turn signals on this bike are PITIFUL- if the bulbs can't ground out, they don't flash. Check the black/white wires - probably a ring stud off mounting bolt. Most likely this runs back under seat to really poor plug with other black/wire wires that are intended to be all connected. Fiddle or replace this and I bet your signals will flash.

I'll check it again but i did clean it up and check it was grounded solidly when I replaced the battery incase it was that. It is crappy design

Yep all worked fine before! Crazy it's just stopped. The headlights also out since this which is a little worrying pmsl

My signals worked randomly- I thought it was ring stud at signal mount- until I eliminated the plug by just joining the wires together- the bullet connectors are useless !
