Jerry when you buy the DYNA S electronic ignition setup the magnetic rotor is included in the kit. It all comes in a box ready to fit.

this is what it say but i have points. so was wondering what i would need thanks for the help, The Dyna S is completely housed behind the ignition cover and uses a magnetic rotor with the original spark advancer, so the factory advance curve is maintained

As noted, the rotor is included with the DS3-2. You need to retain your mechanical advance. Yes, the entire ignition is stored behind the points cover.

The rotor is in the bag in this picture here:

              From http://www.dynaonline.com/skins/prod...tbikes/dyna_s/

Dyna S Ignition System is a complete self-contained electronic ignition system built with the latest state-of-the-art engineering. This is the same ignition used by top racers over the past 2 decades. The Dyna S is completely housed behind the ignition cover and uses a magnetic rotor with the original spark advancer, so the factory advance curve is maintained.
You provide the spark advancer, they provide the rotor.

                  Dyna S rotors are everywhere.
Beware of used Dyna S ignitions.
