Rear Brake Light Blows Fuse

So I just got a new rear light from an Autozone because the P/O had a marker light on it. I plugged in the brown wire to the hot wire on the bike so the filament always stays on then I plugged the other cord in the right place, then I grounded the light. So It was working fine when I was testing it and stuff and then I wrapped up all my other blinker cords and what not then I turned it on to test it and it is fine when the light is on, but once I press the brake to turn on the rear brake light it blows the fuse.

What do you think is going on? Thanks in advance!

Dead short comes to mind . Open your wiring back up and see what is wired wrong or shorting on something. It should be obvious.Also the light you bought is it a 2 element light or a single element?Sounds like you may have the brake light wired to the ground wire.

Brake light wire should be white, ground is black, and taillight should be brown (if it matches up with mine and the 850 I saw)

It ended up being a little different, but I got it all sorted out
