    Fuse keeps blowing

The 10amp fuse keeps blowing, it's the one for the horn, fuel gauge, turn signal, indicator panel, etc. My bike is a 79 GS850G (stock). any common problems I should look at?
    Thanks Jeff

Sounds like time to open the headlight bucket and start looking at connections and wiring.

Watch out for horn connection- it's hot when ignition is on, so a chafed wire could blow fuse.

That fuse also powers the brake lights, so check the wires going to the brake switches on the right side of the handlebar and near the right footpeg.

Someone on here gave me great advise once with same problem, unplug everything that goes to that fuse, put in a new fuse and plug in each item one at a time till fuse blows, then you know that is where you need to look for short or some problem. terrylee

Check the front brake light switch. Mine broke and the little piece of metal floated around and shorted out. It took the fuse when I hit the brake.
