    Ugh!

82 gs550 ran fine. Put K&N pods on, took old airbox out, and put daytona bars on. Went to start it today and got nothin. Lights , brake and turn signals all work. When I took the airbox out I had the rectifier, relays and such on the airbox. Do these need to be grounded for it to start? Even took the paint of the bar so it would be metal to metal contact. Electrically challenged. Help. Btw I don't have kick start to try the other way.

Describe "nothing" - starter solenoid needs grounding or no click!

Suzuki grounded the electrics on some bikes though the airbox, which attaches to the electrical side panel. Not sure about your particular bike though. One thing I do know though is you need to rejet your carbs since you installed pods. Failure to do this, if it runs at all, will damage the engine.

Rejetted before I but on new bars. Wanted to get it running correct before I moved on to the next project. I thougnt it could be grounding the relays, etc. Thanks Nessism. Your 4 for 4 with the questions I have asked. I'll let you know. Thanks again
