86 gs 550 Problems

I have a 86 gs 550. It would run fine till it got hot then shut off and from what I read it was the igniter unit. So I replaced it. But now the it will not start. I tested all the wire with a electrical meter. From the igniter unit I tested the 3 wired plug and get 10 - 12 volts and then I tested the wires to the coil (the other plug) and get 10-12 volts to all the wires except the white wire witch leads to the one coil. So I have no juice to the one coil from the new igniter unit. What could be the problem?

Put old ignitor back on and see what happens. Is this new-to-you ignitor used?
