Low battery voltage indicates that your system is not charging, regardless of the newness of the stator and R/R. You best bet is to get the battery slow charged somewhere and limp home. If you are flush I would just get another, fully charged battery (AGMs come that way) and get the heck off the side of the road to more motorcycle friendly territory.

Yeah the fuse wired inline from my RR to the positive battery terminal blew. I know it's not charging

Just wondered if I should go with a larger fuse.

You have some sore of short to ground (i'll bet)...Pull the seat and side cover and check you work ...

Put a 20 amp fuse in there- 15 is borderline. BUT, sounds like you got a short,since it blew before it started. review your wiring connections

Blew the 20 and 25 fuses.

first diode test on the reg/rec from the stator papers with multi meter:

no reading.

Second test

319 on all three legs of the reg/rec.

Looks like the regulator is fried.

Stator is testing ok with .8-.9 ohm on all three legs.

All connections to and from the regulator and the stator in good condition and connected correctly.

Battery only has around 8 volts, so may have fried a 1 month old battery as well.

It looks like you need a new R/R. If it was overcharging, the battery could be low or out of water also. In a pinch when no R/R or parts were available, and I had an 800 mile trip to get home, I disconnected the stator from the R/R. Then I bought a lawn tractor battery and a small battery charger and Jumped the tractor battery to the bike battery. I ran 800 miles without a charging system. Most any gas station wil let you plug in a small charger for a couple of hours to recharge your battery. As a last resort, that will get you going.
