    Boyer Bransden Alternator Ignition System???

I bought a set of green 3 ohm dyna coils that came with a black box called a Boyer Bransden Alternator Ignition System. I'm not sure how to use this. I was planning on installing the Dynatek Dyna S ignition system, but can I use this instead? Or are they used for different reasons? And if so, can I use them together?

        Am not understanding "alternator ignition".

Unless by "alternator" they are meaning the ignition pickup coils (which does alternate between a positive signal and a negitive signal). And if by "stator plate" they are meaning the ignition coils.

That bit of kit isn't the same as Seana's ignition system. It's designed to replace the rectifer, zenor diode and battery on old bikes - usually BSAs Triumphs etc. The common name for it is a 'Power Box'. Guys fit it to do away with worn out electrics from the 50s and to save weight on competition bikes. They are a good bit of kit and work well.

It won't work (without a lot of mods) on a GS.
