2000 suzuki vz800 marauder R&R

Hello, tried searching but could not find the information I needed. Was wondering if anyone knows if the r&r from a suzuki marauder would work for my 1982 Gs750. I know it's a 3 phase unit with 3 stator wire, a red, and a Black. I already have one of these in great working condition. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
