    GS1000 battery relocation complete

    finished relocating the battery to the rear of the bike, looks quite tidy and fits in really well.


    1978 GS1085.

    Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!

      Looking good mate! Nice use of the rear fender mount as a ground.

      What sort of tiny battery is that? Small and lightweight looks like.

        That's a pretty diddy battery. I'm looking for something that sort of size for my 650 - what make is it?

          its a BAllISTIC EVO2 8 cell lithium ion battery. half the weight of a normal battery but the cranking power is awesome
          1978 GS1085.

              it really does crank the motor over strongly.....its so light as well compared to stock battery

                Did you run a ground strap from the engine to frame ground as well or are you relying on the motor mount bolts? It is probably pretty hard to keep the engine from being grounded to the frame.

                  yes there is a ground strap from the engine to the frame as well, just to make sure
