87 gs450 Q

hey all i just picked up a 87 450.. i wired in brake light and turn signals.. i can only get the brake light to come on with the rear brake foot lever.. did i wire it wrong or does the front brake not have a switch to turn on the light

There is a brake light switch under the front brake lever.

Hi,

It's easy enough to take the front brake switch apart, clean it, and reassemble it properly. You'll find a guide on my little website. To make it easier, turn the whole lever assembly upside down before you take apart the switch. There are little parts and springs in there that will jump out and get lost so be careful.

Yep, do what Cliff says, give it a good clean out. Those switches are prone to failure...
