Timing issue

my 1978 gs550E has an F on the 1&4 position of the advance but not on
the 2&3 just has the T and where the F should be there a 450 stamped
on the advance. anyone else encounter this

Perfectly normal. Are you having an issue? somebody on here, can't remember who, made up a dial to make a mark on the 2-3. It's in here somewhere if you want to hunt around.

yea. I'm installing a Dyna S and trying to time it.
For some reason in order to set this Dyna S timing I have to have the plate fully
clockwise on the mounting screw slots. That's using the line to the right of the F
at the 1-4 position on the advance.. seems wierd
