GS650 Ignitor repair
Has anyone ever successfully repaired one of these or does anyone have a diagram of what is inside?Tags: None

The igniters are mostly made of through hole parts and so the boards are pretty robust. If you can identify a part and it's value you can probably replace them with relative ease and it will probably come back to life. Electrolytic capacitors are usually the problem where the design is not particularly sensitive to the specific values.Originally posted by superradioman View PostHas anyone ever successfully repaired one of these or does anyone have a diagram of what is inside?
I had a recent ignitor serve as a preferential short to ground and smoke the wires to and on the board. After replacing the wires it still worked.
Many times just reflowing the solder on the backs can rebridge andy solder breaks.
I'm not aware of any schematics for these other than what might be in the manual.
