Gs1000s starter motor

A m8 of mine has a 1980 Gs1000s the problem is it starts no problem when cold ,but when it gets hot the starter struggles to turn motor over, its got a new motobatt Hi torque Battery fitted that didn't make any difference, so could it be the solenoid or the starter motor had enough..........

make sure both the cables on the solenoid are clean and tight, also the connector on the motor itself.
if they are good then it could be a clean and rebuild on the motor

If the connections are clean it's either worn / sticking starter motor brushes or a dirty armature. Easy fix.
