    Time to rewire?

Long story short. I have my GS1000GL carbs rebuilt and no go on getting her started. So I decided to grab the battery out and see if the old Honda will run for me. This is where it gets interesting, when I leaned the battery over all my lights came on, with the key OFF!! Now I did not find and chaffed wired, bad connectors or anything that may suggest or point out an obvious problem. There are also a few wires that just go nowhere, just kinda hang. Would you rewire or chase down the problem(s) and repair them? Shaun

fusebox connections can get corroded and heat up with the current. Sometime to the point the plastic melts and hots short out so key is always on.

    kind of like this one.

if yours is not too far gone clean all connections in the fuse box using something like naval jelly and then flow soldering to all the crimps. The treat with Detoxit and go.
