Anyone know if a 140 mph speedometer from a 750l will fit in my 1980 750l?

I swapped my speedo from a 1980 750L to my 79 750L and it worked just fine. Im sure it should swap just fine. If not, grab a wiring diagram from Basscliff's page and re-wire that sucker >

why would you "rewire" a speedo from a 1980 GS.......?

I swapped my FUBAR speedo with a 140 mph one from a 78 GS1000 and it works great. No need to rewire, just unplug the lights from your old one and they go right in the new one.Comment

Sounds like a plan. I found a new one on ebay for 80 bucks. Didn't see wires coming out of it though. I would imagine it can't be that bad. Just crack it open and see what goes where. it's just lights anyways.Comment
