Maiden voyage Of the Suzuki 80 GS 1000. Second fuse from the bottom blows and melts. On the road limited access to search the forums. Is it my Stator that's smoking?

That's your main fuse. Hopefully it was a still a 15A. Your rectifier could have could have gone south! Stator may also be faulty, but a quick multimeter test could pinpoint it, which you probably do not have on the road.
