Unfortunately, the second (and third) purchase resulted in a damaged/leaking battery delivered by the USPS. The batteries, with foam wrapped around the top and sides with nothing protecting the ends, arrived in a box twice as large as necessary. Since there is nothing to prevent a 10-15 pound lead acid battery from sliding back and forth in the box. the last two batteries arrived leaking. How much effort is required to fill up the void with folded up cardboard, foam, folded news print, something!?
Although the money has been refunded (Amazon) without any arm twisting, think of the potential harm that will occur to some unsuspecting soul when handling these damaged batteries. When you think about it, this borders either on extreme stupidity, or just plain evil.
This issue has been brought to the attention of the local USPS, Amazon and a segment of the motorcycling community.
If I were more computer literate I would post images.
