No power when iginition turned on

    Ok folks..

A while back I submitted a post where I said I had the electrical working and trying to start it. Well during that phase, during cranking it stopped. Now when I turn the key, no neutral or oil light comes on.

I have the carbs cleaned but not installed until I have complete my analysis of the electrical including the starter.

I would like some first steps as after a review of the forums could not definitively locate a post that talks about first steps.

In my mind, it could be:

    1. fuse
    2. actual starter button
    3. Iginition switch, (based on previous owner's comment about jiggling) I
    replaced with OEM suzuki iginition.
    4. Anywhere in between.

The battery is brand new...FYI and always fully charged and ready to go before testing system.

I cleaned all contacts previously which led to initial the system working.

    Thanks

Fuse most likely which should be easy to spot. The hard bit is why ?
Generally the oil lamp and neutral share a 10A fuse but the start button is on another 10A. More than likely the bigger 15A has gone and taken both circuits out. Need to find which one and then get hold a wiring diagram and see what should have power when.

Yes, check your fuses but make sure your battery is fully charged and can handle a load as well.
