78 gs550... i'm kicking the idea around about converting to the dyna s, but not sure if the stock coils are compatible.... does anyone know the ohm of the stock coils?

Yes they will work just fine. Stock coils are 5 ohms. -
Stock coils will work but the Dyna coils and wires work much better. I used stock coils with the initial installation of my Dyna-S. Eventually I changed to Dyna coils and wires, and the difference was enough that I would never consider running stock coils again. Much hotter spark, smoother running and better gas mileage. I'm running pods and 4-1 pipes with a stage 3 jet kit and still turn in a regular 44MPG with my 1000E.Comment
