Hey all. I just helped a friend put a new electrosport stator and H775 reg/rec in. Job went fairly flawless until we started the bike. Grinding noise from under the stator cover. I'm guessing the poles are being sanded down. Anyone ever had this issue with their stators before? it was too late for us to pull the cover back off again, as soon as we do I'll report on the issue.

Clearances are tight, you have to watch how you reinstall the chrome cable clamp under the cover. -

I've bought 2 recently. One from Quebec on ebay and the friend I was helping with this one he bought from PartZilla along with his stator.Comment

Thanks for the good tip. He took the cover off and sure enough the clamp was not put in flat enough. Straightened things out and slapped it back together, good as new. Actually it's better than new now with the Electrosport stator and Shindengen reg/rec! Another one to be on the road for years to come

This combination should have boosted the voltage some at idle.Comment
