    electro sport stator

I got a new stator and I'm just getting around to looking at it and I'm confused. There are 5 wires coming from it and my old one only has 3 wires. Did I get the wrong part?

    Yes!
If you're talking about your 1100 it should have three wires.
I have an electrosport on my 1150.

Post some photos. Maybe two of the wires are redundant?

Perhaps electrosport added a thermistor in the last 12 months.
Electrosport part number may be helpful also.

Let me also say I'm colorblind so this is doubly frustrating

This question came up recently, and if I recall, there were a couple of extra ends that went to the same wire within the shrink wrapped wire bundle...ill look for it when I get a minute.....

Yeah. That's the same Stator I have. Mine only had 3 wires.

I know there is a thread around here somewhere that tells me how to wire the Polaris r/r to my GS1100 but I cant seem to find it. I see on my old one that I have 5 wires, one going directly to the frame as a ground, and on the new r/r there are a total of 5 connections, 2 black and 3 red. I am guessing the ground goes to one of the black connections and the three stator wires all tie into the red connections but what is the other black connection going to? Any help is appreciated.

                      This is the new one

On another note, should I solder leads to the r/r or will blade terminal connectors work? I figure these connections probably see a lot of heat so I am not sure what is best

DON'T solder leads directly to the R/R's lugs...By the time you get them hot enough, you could be damaging internal parts. The thing is engineered to get rid of heat, after all.
If you want to put a bit of solder on the blade connectors, there's a good example I just saw here by Wizard on this thread http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...0&postcount=19

I haven't got what I guess you are showing? is the hi-falutin SH775 ? but it's here in detail

and right here with the circuit diagram

somewhere in here. There should be a number on your R/R to find more
