    Sealing off live wire ends?

What's the best way to seal off the ends of any live wires I've got in my harness?

    Pictures please.

I use heat shrink tube, leave 3/16 inch or so past the end of the wire, pinch it together with pliers while the shrink is still hot. Sorry no pics.

If you don't have any heat-shrink tubing, you can use a crimp-on connector.

They make smoos for this too.

Like a dead end crimp connector that looks like a smoo.

              From the urban dictionary:

              Smoo
Another synonym for ****** derived from an old-school Nokia autocorrect for the word 'Poon'.

              Groovin' the smoo!

heatshrink. preferably with adhesive 3m style - it rains a lot here.

                  Crimp caps work too

That's what they called them when I worked at Boeing. I thought everyone called them that. Maybe not.

I do this except I fold the longer piece over, then slip a slightly larger diameter piece of heat shrink over the fold and shrink it all together. If its the glue sealing type that's even better.
