I recall seeing a thread about removing the aluminum ring around a katana dash, but I must be using the wrong search words. All lights have been out for a while except the neutral light. I also have half a tach needle, that I might try and fix while I'm in there. Something about carefully prying off the ring to gain access.

So nobody recalls the procedure/technique for removing the glass and aluminum retainer?
