    Dyna Coil & Dyna S Electronic Ignition

    Hi,

    Just installed a Dyna S Electronic Ignition & new dyna coils.

    Bike will not start - GS 550.

    Appear to get a good spark.

    Any ideas on what to check?

      Got spark ?, then recheck plug wiring to make sure that you got spark at right time.

          Dnya s

          Check power and ground for the coils and make sure that the dnya ignition has power 12v, also check timing, and correct wiring orientation for the coil coming from the dyna s.

              Did you put the advance on 180 off?
              Did you prime the float bowls?

                  The washer that comes with the kit was too thick for my 82 GS550L -- it prevents proper operation of the advance mechanism.
                  We got a thinner washer from a hardware store & did a little filing to make it thin enough.
