When you came to the GSR, you have entered the intersanctum of cheaptom. So when we say change the R/R and get an SH-775 remember where it is coming from.

If your kids don't have enough to eat then get the bike running and sell it. Sorry for being so blunt, but that is basically it. There is not much choice about fixing it, there is only a choice about whether you can afford that.

You also know that life turns on a dime, so park it until you can afford a new stator and SH-775 and you will be able to do that. In the mean time you have plenty of time to do all the required maintenance. When the money comes it will be a pitzacake.

Good used stator can be found as well as a good used reg-rec.

                Just sayin'

Now all you need to do is find a stator to fit.

I'll be installing one from a GS1100GK on mine.

You can almost buy a new one for that amount.

I think the GK was an 83??

Other than having only three terminals instead of five, yes it will fit.

Don't know if it will fit or not. The gentlemans name is mike. He is a member of this board. Ask him for some measurement or Call and ask him.
