    Keep blowing tail light bulbs

Vehicle: 1985 GS1150 frame, 1150 cylinders bored .5mm over, 1150 welded crank, 1100 head, 34mm Mikuni carbs with DynoJet, KZ1000 stator.

Issue: tail lights continuously blow. Specifically the running light portion. The brake light stays working.

This only happens when I'm constantly revving and shifting at high (7.5k+) RPM's, i.e. when corner carving.

I've tried a 2087, 2287, and 2387 bulb, and they all end up blowing out.

    Ideas?

Your voltage regulator simply can't keep up, or is already shot.

Use a voltmeter to verify, then install a new Polaris R/R to cure.

Voltage reg probably gone. I think it is probably a Honda. I wired it up using coil relay mod.

maybe check that the sense wire is still connected. Find it and attach direct to battery and do Quick test.
