bad coils or ?

just wondering my gs550ef starts runs fine until it gets hot then shuts off wont start (no spark) is there anything else it could be besides the coils? thank you

As stated in your month old thread, it's more likely a bad ignitor, Coils are easy to check, head to this link - step 10, but best to do all the tests. In your case repeat step 10 next time the hot bike won't start.

If you were here, we could swap out my ignitor for a check. Unfortuntely, K-town is not happening for at least a couple of weeks, when I might be in the area for a paddling trip...keep me up to date on your situation, and we'll see if we can make something happen.

P.S. it's better to keep a previous thread going rather than start a new thread on the same issue.
