Power drainage a problem?
So I just finished all the electrical on my café build and everything is working great. What I am noticing though is a slight drainage from my battery when it's parked and the ignition off. I have a 8 cell Ballistic Lithium battery brand new, tail light, turn signals, tach and speedo and that's about it...no alarm or clock, ect. I checked the voltage yesterday and it stood at 12.86v. Within several hours I could see it slowly drop .01 every hour or so and today it's down to 12.78v. It seems really small, but I wanted to see if this is normal? Thanks,Last edited by Guest; 06-23-2014, 06:36 PM.Tags: None

use your amp meter to see if there is any draw, you cant tell by looking at he battery voltage because it has it's own internal losses.Originally posted by claygs750e View PostSo I just finished all the electrical on my café build and everything is working great. Put a ohm meter between the ground and the negative terminal where everything is off

I put my meter and it shows 0.4-0.6 Ohms between ground frame to ground terminal. I also connected the meter in series and it shows zero amps connected to the ground terminal.
The voltage on the battery has held stead at 12.80 all day so maybe I jumped the gun and there was an initial small drain.Last edited by Guest; 06-23-2014, 09:46 PM.
