    Thanks to all that helped me out

    I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that helped me with this Compufire conversion, even the ones that laughed at me. I rebuilt the carbs that were a disaster, swapped the Compufire in soldering all the connections and adding extra grounds, adjusted the valves and it fired in about 1/8 of a turn and sounds like jack the bear. Battery is charging, no smoke signals. I swapped it from pods back to the stock airbox & rejetted it like my GS1100. I measured the cam and was told it was a stock one but it sure don't sound like one out the Bassani pipe. Thanks guys, great forum, Sorry if I was a PIA but this is my first venture into 4 valve Suzukis, Ive always run Kawasakis before that never have charging problems

    Congrats, you probably learned more about that bike then you ever wanted too lol. Nothing like hands on experience as well. Now ride that beast like no tomorrow. Let us know how she treats ya.

    Stuff I've done to my bike 1100E front end with new Sonic springs, 1100E swing arm conversion with new Progressive shocks installed, 530 sprockets/chain conversion, new SS brake lines, new brake pads. New SS fasteners through out. Rebuilt carbs, new EBC clutch springs and horn installed. New paint. Motor runs strong.

        Posplayr, your posts on the Compufire were the biggest help of all, I want to especially thank you for all the stuff you posted about it. Yes, I learned a lot which is why I like to do it to start with. When you live in Montana and your bike isn't new you learn how to fix it. Your posts were the reason I did it to start with

          Thank you, glad the bike is getting back on the road. In that back county there are no mechanics.

            Nope, dealerships wont touch them at any price. I doubt the kids they have working there would know even 1/10th of what I do. I find the help I need on this forum, you guys are great. Im retired and cant afford to pay anyone to work on them and I enjoy learning
