Ignition timiming, gs500 -82.

Hi, can someone please tell me how many pins it should be between mark 2 and 3 on my gs500e -82. Thanks.

You mean 82 550 ? Cam timing looks like this pic - slots on cam ends face each other and mark 1 points parallel to gasket surface. I vote for 19 but my bike has 20 ,so wait for someone else!

Thanks for the answer. The id tag on the bike says gs500e but the papers say gs500L. I have seen answer to gs550 but not to gs500.

Is your bike a twin or four cylinder?
The 500 was a twin, the 550 was a four cylinder.
