I suspected a grond issue so I replaced the ground with a direct alligator clip to the negative battery terminal. Same result. I'm getting a constant 12+ to the power and the load seems to work accordingly. Just a bad unit or something worse?

turn signal relay is buzzing. dim non flaahing bulbs
Bought this bike in pieces, putting the last finishing touches to make it legal. I wired up the turn signals and as soon as I switched the turn signal switch I got a loud buzz, no flashing just a solid dim light.

Brand new battery, no other electrical issues (that I've uncovered yet)...
The bike didn't have turn signals installed, I mounted them and then plugged the wires into their respective wires.
I'll give it a shot. Thanks!Comment

Side note (and possible the fix!) I only have the front turn signals installed at the moment. Plugging in the rears might just do the trick.Comment

yes, the flasher needs the current of all the regular bulbs in order to flash.
If one bulb is burnt out (or disconnected)(or someone uses LED lights instead) the flasher will not flash.

If you still get buzzing after putting on the rears this is what fixed mine:
After a lot of head scratching, cursing and other things I finally found what was grounding out the signal switch. It was the ball and spring inside the slider switch.Stuffed a small piece of electrical tape in the spring well and got the nice ticka ticka ticka sound and corresponding flashing of lightsComment
