GS1100 Spark plug wiring confirmation

Can someone please confirm that on an 83 GS1100GL the spark plug wiring is as listed below:

Left coil(as sitting on bike) goes to cylinder 1 and 4
Right coil(as sitting on bike) goes to cylinder 2 and 3

Can't remember specifically, but I do know you can look up such information in the factory Suzuki service manual. You can get yourself a free download at this link. http://members.dslextreme.com/users/bikecliff/

The coil with the white wire goes to 1&4 and the black/yellow wired coil is 2&3. At least that's the way it is on the 82 model. Should be the same for 83.

Yes, the "left for 1&4, right for 2&3" usually holds true, but I have had at least one bike where they were reversed.

The wiring to them was also reversed, so everything worked OK, but the locations were different.
