dyna s on a 650?
so, 650s are not listed for a dyna ignition. can i retrofit the ignition from another model? I had read that grinding down a certain part of the case would make it fit but no definite decision on what id need to grind down.

If you search the forums, it has been done. I believe on the 650s that the oil pressure sender is under the sig gen plate and could get shorted. Looks like there's a notch for it already in the OEM sig gen. A Dremel with a cutting wheel should work just fine; of course you will void the warranty. Really don't understand why Dyna doesn't just notch it to make it compatible... -

agreed. making plates with the notch for the switch would make it easier to install but oh well. looks like ill be notching the dyna plate when i get to it!If you search the forums, it has been done.
