    dyna s / dyna tech ignitions GS1000

What is the difference between a Dyna-s ignition and a Dyna-Tech ignition? I realize the Dyna-Tech has coils to go with it, But are the systems different? Also, if these ignitions fit GS550,750,1000, would a 82 GS1100 4v ignition fit a 78 GS1000?

It's spelled DYNATEK and they make the Dyna-S ignition system. They make both the ignition systems and the coils.

Darn, with so many daily riders it's hard to decide which one to jump on next.;)

Sorry about my spelling... The Dynatek has a blue box that goes with it. The Dyna-S does not. What function does the blue box serve?

I installed the Dyna-s system with two 5 ohm Dyna coils. My 77 gs400 has never ran so smooth! It starts instantly and idles lower than it ever has. Very pleased!

sounds like you're talking about a dyna2000 system. If you are the "blue box" is for adjusting your timing electronically, advanced curve moods, rev limiters...etc..etc..
