No charge - rectifier seems bad

    Hi all,

My GS is not charging. When I run the diode tests on the rectifier I get nothing - open circuit? When I switch the red and yellow wires I get numbers in the low 700s. One the yellow wires was burnt at the connector.

I am testing using the free harbor fright multimeter. I will run the tests again with the good multimeter tomorrow.

Will a bad rectifier show an open circuit? Seems like the replacement is a Polaris part?

    Thanks

Run the quick test(see my signature) , it will tell you a lot more. Also teh SH-775 is definitely recommended if you don't have a SERIES R/R already.
