    whats missing?

Hey guys im new here so be gentle haha I picked up a 78 gs750e for a buddy to help fix. Came in parts(fun i know). Basically its a motor in a frame. My friend gave me a wiring harness that he said would fit it but im having trouble figuring out where some of the connections lead. Basically so far ive got the coils hooked up, headlight, rectifier, regulator, left handlebar switch, fusebox, horn, ignition, and solenoid hooked up. I know im missing the right handlebar switch , dash, turn signals, tail light but what else? I have a six way connection coming from the left side of the engine that doesn't have a hook up? I havent been able to find a useful diagram either. Ill try to post pics tomorrow but if anyone knows off the top of their head what im missing id appreciate it! Thanks

1978 Gs1085 compliments of Popy Yosh, Bandit 1200 wheels and front end, VM33 Smoothbores, Yosh exhaust, braced frame, ported polished head
1983 Gs1100ESD, rebuild finished! Body paintwork happening winter 2017

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.

No GS has a CDI. Some GS's have a ignitor, but the 77-79 GS750 does not.

Alright thanks, I must have looked at the wrong diagram. But heres my next question which is still my intial question. I attached some photos. This six connector on the left side with the one stray wire, what does it connect to? On the diagram it shows a connection and then to "A" . Do I have the wrong wiring harness or am I missing something for this to connect to? Or does it connect to the start button switch?

The blue wire is for your neutral indicator as shown in the diagram. The "A" references a connector located elsewhere the wiring diagram. In this case a plug located at the upper left of the diagram near the instrument cluster, also marked with an "A". The six way connector you show would be the one coming from the gear indicator switch and you should see a 6 way connector coming out of your instrument cluster. Somehow these have to plug in together. Either the cable from your cluster is long enough to reach the one in the picture or there is something missing from your harness.

On my bike, that plug sits in the headlight bucket. It plugs into a green(?) plug that runs into the instrument cluster.
