I have ordered from Eastern Beaver several times, with absolutely no problems.

I think he is at least partly correct with his statement about the R/Rs, though. The MOSFET-based units do run cooler than the SCR-based ones. It is, however, rather unfortunate that the best units (the series units from Polaris) also share the "SH" in the part number.

Taking the niaive view it might be considered ironic that the efficiency of the MOSFET results in it staying cooler. It is ironic because the heat the MOSFET does not disspates is absorbed by the stator.
I find less irony in the technical precision of the statements while the elephant in the the room causes the floor to groan.
