Good unit- i used one for years before I opted for tbe series SH-775 r/r. Chances are very good that yours is in perfect condition. Easy to check the rectifing diode portion of them, but the regulating portion is more challenging- best to just do the Quick Test that we keep pushing....

if you want to test the rectifing diodes, see this... But understand that your meter might test them slightly different from Basscliff's
