    Wiring Problem

    Hello Electrical forum,

Got a bit of a problem with a 1977 GS750 Have replaced the loom as the old one was in a bad way, however there seems to be a few issues that have arisen!
Have no oil light on dash, where the starter motor is, there is a covered Green and Yellow wire with a spade type end but cannot see where it goes on loom, to the right of that coming out of the same place as the gear change wire is another Green and Yellow with a normal bullet connector which I assume goes into the female Green and Yellow?
Also the is a Green and Red which is on the same loom as gear change which I cannot see where it goes that has no connector on it just a bare wire! Rest of the bike seems to be ok, all lights work including indicators, neutral light and horn, starter motor turns over

Thanks for any assistance in this matter

Have a look at this diagram for a 79 gs850 probably similar to your earlier gs750. Note the green yellow wire at oil sender and at solenoid
