I am going to make a custom timing plate to mount the Dyna 2000's pickup coils on a 1983 GS 550. Since the company does not offer a model specific to my motorcycle, does it matter which model I buy?

Just checked the Dynatek website and they seem to offer a number of different variants at different prices. I'd call them to be sure you get what you need, at the right price. Not sure how to go about checking in advance but you need a rotor that will mount up.Ed
