    coil and points question

    i got the green 3ohm dyna coils for my 78 gs1000 are these fine to run with points or do i need to get the dyna ignition as well

          You need a ballast resistor with points. You will be much happier with the dyna ignition. Link to Dyna coil instructions. http://www.powercommander.com/downlo...andardCoil.pdf

              thank you that's what i was thinking but wanted to make sure i have already installed the coils and will more than likely get the ignition this weekend but if were to go the resistor route where would i mount them
