No Fuses?
I'm looking at the 78 GS750 harness diagram and am seeing several fuses that I cannot find on the bike. Is it possible that the PO removed them? I've only been successful in starting the bike with a screwdriver across the starter relay, but upon the last attempt it sparked pretty good and the headlight no longer illuminates. Since I have no other lights, I really have no way of knowing what happened and I can't find any fuses to check. The bike does repeatedly turn over with the screwdriver across the terminals regardless of key position. It never starts however.

I could be wrong, but I believe your bike should have ONE fuse. Might not be real obvious by looking at the harness, but look for a single enclosed fuse on the left side of the battery.

I thought I had read on the forum that 78 was the year they went to multiple fuses. Based on the diagram, I should have a bunch, but I could be looking at the wrong diagram. It's a 1978 GS750E and I'm using this as a guide:Originally posted by Steve View PostI could be wrong, but I believe your bike should have ONE fuse. There is one fuse in that diagram, just above the rectifier. The stuff in the bottom left corner is not fuses, it is how they show the connections in the handlebar switches. I can't believe any automotive/vehicle manufacturer was still not using an actual fuse block by 1978, that just seems crazy.Originally posted by Nickel View PostI thought I had read on the forum that 78 was the year they went to multiple fuses.
