Lazy tach
Hi guys. I think I've got a lazy tach. When I was on the highway yesterday I noticed the tach reading around 8k and she sounded like she was in the red. Off the highway I noticed the tack stalling then spiking up at 8k. Anyone know how to fix this before I find a replacement.

Twice I've had the cable end that goes into the tach spinning on the end of the cable. How ever it happened the end came loose from the cable. I didn't notice until I pulled on it. Replace the cable and keep under 8k rpms

I was wondering if it was electric or not. Mine is electronic and tends to waver around at times. I haven't yet been able to detect a pattern though.sigpic
When consulting the magic 8 ball for advice, one must first ask it "will your answers be accurate?"

My pattern seems to be work perfect until you hit 8k then stay there until I crank it. Then spike up and fall back into place.Originally posted by dorkburger View PostI was wondering if it was electric or not. Mine is electronic and tends to waver around at times.
