SH775 install - unused connections question

Ok I've spent a fun day spaghetti weaving (AKA working on electrical upgrades) and everything going well

My hybrid 821100e/85 1150 clocks working fine bar 1 crossed wire
    All sensors and lights functional
3 yellow wires from stator to inlet of sh775 power and earth directly to battery
extra earths as per SPG guidelines

A couple of questions which may be related -

    1. I seem to to have a few unused/redundant wires and connection which would have fed the loom from the old reg/rec ( see picture) ...... should I be using or tapping any of these ???

    2. I've not checked anything with a meter yet, however , seem to have no power to the starter relay - is this related to the unused wires ??

    appreciate any input

just wish some of the "electrical wizards" here were closer as I'd certainly pay proper money for a few hours assistance ( I think I actually have electrical dyslexia )

I thought the bike harness connections were female terminals and the stator had the male plugs? Regardless, the old mates for the stator wires should be taped up since you are not using them anymore. One of the power out wires from the R/R can go to the battery like you seem to have done but the other should go to the fuse box like on the old Suzuki wiring.

Its been 78ish for the last week - cooled down to high 60's today and ...... If it was that simple I'd be sending the ticket ( I have about 250K miles in the bank)

I'll print off and mark up a few schematics tomorrow as my eyes (and my brain) have decided that its time to quit for the day

            basically

3 yellow wires into reg/rec and straight to battery with outputs
dedicated feed from battery + to fusebox
